The federal government of Nigeria on Friday 4th of June 2021, announced the suspension of twitter activities in the country.
Following this announcement by a press release made through the federal ministry of information and culture official twitter handle, the announcement was made publicly.
The Minister said the Federal Government has also directed the National Broadcasting l Commission (NBC) to immediately commence the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations in Nigeria .
According to report and response from users, Nigerian government are only trying to hide their dirty activities from the world and this won’t happen, some users responded.
